How Do I Refund My Text Gift?

Objective

This article explains how to request a refund after making a mistake with your gift. Learn what to do immediately and what your options are depending on how the gift was submitted.

I Made a Mistake with My Gift… Now What?

If you accidentally entered the wrong amount or chose the wrong designation, don’t worry—there are ways to fix it.

Text Giving Refund Instructions

If you just gave via text, you’ll see a confirmation message.

If the gift was a mistake, simply reply with the word:

REFUND

 

✅ The gift will be canceled and your account will not be charged.

⏱ Important Time Window

You must send the REFUND message within 15 minutes of submitting the gift.

If it’s been more than 15 minutes, the automatic refund window closes and you’ll need to contact your church or organization directly.

 

Other Types of Gifts

If your gift was made:

  • Online

  • Through the mobile app

  • As part of an event, registration, or payment form

Please reach out directly to the church or organization to request a refund or correction. They’ll be able to look up your gift and help.
