Website: Create a Designated Visitor Page

Leverage your Amplify Website to create an easily accessible Designated Visitor Landing Page. Some helpful pieces to include are:

  • Need to Know: All the logistical information that is absolutely necessary for someone to attend (e.g., location, time, what to wear, where to park).
  • Want to Know: Weekly offerings and opportunities for individuals and families.
  • Nice to Know: Snapshots of front-facing leadership and/or an overview of your ministry.
  • Where to Go: Pinned location that can be easily accessed via web or mobile.

Check out a PDF checklist with examples of each piece listed above!

Forms: Create a Digital Visitor Card

In our Giving, People, and Website modules, you have a robust Form Builder at your disposal. Use this to create a Digital Visitor Form for guests to complete. This helps you collect their information for easy follow-up.

Some key elements to include in a Visitor Form are:

  • Basic Contact Information: Name, Phone Number, and Email Address.
  • Interest Checkboxes: Allow guests to check which areas of your ministry they may be interested in so you can assign the appropriate staff member or lay leader to follow up with them.
  • Prayer Requests: Include a text box asking how to pray for each guest, adding a personal touch.

Depending on the season, you may also set up an optional payment field for guests who would like to donate to your ministry.

People: Create a Visitor Workflow

Workflows help you automate follow-up tasks and reminders so no one falls through the cracks! You can use Workflows to:

  • Add a Person to a Group
  • Assign an Interaction
  • Send a Text Message

Adding your visitors to a Group helps you quickly identify them later for follow-up or reporting. Post-event communication is simple since you can mass email or text an entire group!

Interactions are a log of your connections with people in your database. Automated workflows can assign a follow-up task (an interaction) to staff or volunteers so guests receive an even more personalized experience. Interactions can be logged and managed on your Mobile App, equipping your team for ministry on the go!
