Amplify General Release Notes

April 22nd, 2025 (v. 1.27.0)

Enhancements

More Easily Find Users Based on Creation Date

  • On the Manager Users Screen, we’ve added a Creation Date column to make it easier to filter for users. Click the "Creation Date" header to sort users in ascending or descending order by the date they were added to Amplify (screenshot below).

We’ve streamlined the User Experience for Cancelled or Disabled Modules.

  • App Switcher Fly-Out Menu: Cancelled or Expired Trial Modules have been moved to the Explore Section, making it easier to focus on your active modules.

  • Adding or Updating Users and Permissions: Cancelled or Expired Trial Modules no longer appear among the options listed, decluttering the process.

  • Subscriptions Tab: Cancelled or Expired Trial Modules will now display a pill button that clearly indicates the module status. In addition, the “Open” button has been changed to "Subscribe" (screenshot below).

Enhancements:

We've added an Organization Switcher for individuals in multiple organizations!

  • We're excited to announce that the organization switcher feature is now live! This enhancement allows users to easily switch between organizations they may belong to, improving navigation and workflow efficiency. Learn more about the organization switcher!

Show Provisioning modules as Disabled on Dashboard.

  • Modules that are currently being set up (in provisioning status) will now appear on the Dashboard in a disabled state.
  • A helpful tooltip message can be seen when hovering over these modules to inform the status.
  • On mobile devices, tap the information icon to view the status message.

Rename "Organizational User" field to "Sub-organization access"

  • We've updated the user access assignment terminology to be clearer and intuitive.
  • The "Make organizational user" checkbox is now labeled "Sub-organization access".
  • The "Make universal admin" checkbox is now simply "Universal admin".
  • These changes aim to provide a better understanding of the access levels granted to users.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed display of Disabled / Cancelled modules in Amplify UI

  • We've addressed inconsistencies in how disabled or cancelled modules were displayed across different parts of the Amplify interface.

Dashboard now shows Trial expired modules

  • Trial expired modules are now visible on the Dashboard, providing a more accurate overview of module statuses.

Corrected "Back to Login" link functionality

  • The "Back to Login" link on the Set Password screen now correctly redirects users to the login page, rather than reloading the current page.

Enhancements:

Easily view and export monthly usage data!

Organization Owners and Universal Admins can now easily track data usage for each Amplify module.

What is Usage Data? Some Amplify modules may have product usage limits based on your contract. For example, an Amplify Streaming plan provides a certain amount of monthly streaming hours and storage. We call this Usage Data.

Where to find Usage Data:

  • On the Amplify home screen, click the Manage tile.

  • Click Invoices in the left sidebar. You'll notice a new Usage tile.

  • Click View, and you'll see a new screen that displays usage data for each Amplify module.

  • Use the Date dropdown to view different months.

  • If desired, click the Export CSV button to download an Excel spreadsheet of that month's usage data history.

Note: Monthly usage data will be displayed on the 2nd of each month.

What's Next?

We plan to include usage allotments on this screen in a future update. Once completed, you'll be able to view your current usage data against what's included in your Amplify plan. (For example, 820 out of 1000 Amplify People records).

At that time, the progress bars will become functional, and you'll see your current usage data vs. total allotment after each Amplify module—see the example below.

October 8th, 2024 (v.1.16.0)

Enhancements:

  • Bookmarked Login URLs: Previously, if you bookmarked the Amplify login screen, using the bookmark would display a generic Auth0 error. With this update, login page bookmarks will correctly open the Amplify login screen. After you log in, the appropriate Amplify module will open.

August 27th, 2024 (v.1.13.0)

Fixes

  • Mobile App: When users created a new password, the password requirements did not ‘turn green’ as each was met. Users will now see accurate password requirement validations.

We also removed unnecessary text from the Forgot Password screen on the mobile app, providing a cleaner and more user-friendly experience.

Enhancements

Updated Login Screen

  • In preparation for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), we have updated the Amplify Login Screen. Both the Username and Password fields appear for quicker login. (Note: In the next release we’ll be adding back our branding in the background).

Note: In the near future, we plan to require Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to login to Amplify. In other words, for added security, you'll need to verify your account by Text Message, Email, or an Authenticator App.

Fixes

  • General > User Permissions: If access to a module was removed from a user, that module would still display in the App-Switcher menu at the top left of the Amplify Dashboard. (Note: Despite this display issue, the user could not access the module.) We corrected this issue and modules removed from the user no longer appear in the App-Switcher menu.

  • General > Error when Adding Users: In rare situations when adding new users, especially when all modules were selected, a 500 Error would appear. We have corrected the root cause behind this issue.

  • General > Dashboard: Design elements were not properly centered on the Amplify Dashboard in certain scenarios.

Enhancements

App Builder is now Mobile App

  • We've changed the name of App Builder to Mobile App. The term "Mobile App" is more widely used, and we wanted our software name to reflect that. You'll see this change reflected in https://myaccount.amplify.io as well as our Help and Marketing materials.

    • Note: Your staff or members will not notice changes within your mobile app. The name "App Builder" was not member-facing.
