Your navigation is the main menu that links to subpages, sermons, events, etc. It should give visitors a clear path to your site from any page on your site. Keep the navigation items simple with clear terminology so it is easy for web visitors to find what they are looking for.
The navigation commonly includes parent (main navigation), and child (sub navigation) items.
A general guideline is that if a link opens to a page on your site it should open in the same window. If you create a link that opens to an outside site, such as a link to a third-party online giving service, that link should open in a new window.

Imagine the site visitor has never been to church at all. Try "Youth Ministry" instead of "Ignite" in your navigation and use your Ministry's branded name on the page itself.
-
Remember that visitors will be looking at your site on a variety of screen sizes and devices. The menu should be clear and concise. Try "About" instead of "About Creekside Community Church."
