Website Plugins: Wordpress: Small Group Module- Small Group Set-up

The Small Groups Module allows customers to add small groups to pages as blocks of content. There are a number of options for these blocks in appearance and layout. 

1) Click on Small Groups under the Events Menu in the L-Bar. A list of all Small Groups will appear. 

2) To add a new Small Group, click on Add New Small Group. 

3) The Small Group entry page will appear.

 

4) Enter a name for the Small Group. This will appear as the Title/Name for the Small Group. 

5) Enter the Description of the Small Groups, and add Keywords for the Small Group based on the subject matter. You can also mark if the Small Group provides Childcare. 

6) Add a Resource Link, either as a new link or by using a previous Resource Link. You can also choose for this link to “Open link in new window.” 

7) Add Categories, an Image, a Location, and Rooms as necessary. 

8) Choose the Day of the Week for the Small Group meeting, and set the Start Date and End Date (if applicable). Include the Start Time and End Time of the Event. 

9) Choose the frequency of the Small Group meeting time, and set the group to Open, Closed, or Full as necessary. 

10) In the next section, you’ll choose which Members of your church are leaders with this Small Group. This list of Members comes from the Members list under People. (Note: the instructions for creating these Members will be the next item in this guide). 

11) Add a Header Image as needed. If you choose to upload an image, the field will change to an upload by clicking on the link to the right. To change it back, click the same link to the right. 

12) Finally, you’ll choose when you want your Small Group to be published. You can also add your Small Group to a Group or save your Small Group as a Draft for later editing.
