Cloud Sites: Add a Sermon

The Sermons Module allows users to add sermons to pages as blocks of content. There are a number of options for these blocks in appearance and layout.

Sermons are created first as text fields and details, and then media can be added to each sermon. To create a sermon, customers can perform the following steps:

1) Click on Add New Sermon button. This will open the Sermon editing screen:

2) Add a title for the sermon (this title will be displayed for the sermon on pages)

3) If necessary, choose a Category for the sermon. (These can be edited/created on the main Sermons Module page under the tab Categories or added immediately from this dropdown selection)

4) If necessary, add the sermon to a Series, either from a pre-existing series or by adding one using the Add function to the right.

5) Add the Bible passage to be used for the sermon.

6) Add the date of the sermon

7) Add the Preacher for the sermon (These can be edited/created on the main Sermons Module page under the tab Categories or added immediately from this dropdown selection)

8) If desired, add a Header image for the Sermon using the Header Image field.

  • If the customer does not have a Header Image to add, they can upload one using the link to the right.
  • If the Header Image is meant to be an overlay, they can toggle this using the box beneath.

9) Click Save to continue.

10) On the next page, you’ll enter Sermon summary, keywords, and content. Click save to continue.

11) On the next page, you can choose associated media for the Sermon, such as audio, video, image, and notes.

  • The media associated here is uploaded to the Media section of your website. Anything you have uploaded will be sorted here by file type.
  • If you do not have media that has been uploaded previously, you can upload the media using the tool at the bottom of the page.

12) Click Done to continue.

13) On the next page, you can choose when the Sermon will be published and shown on the website.

14) If you want to immediately publish, you can do so by clicking Publish. If you want to publish the Sermon as a feature, you can do so by clicking Publish as Featured. You can also set a date to denote published updates to the Sermon.
