Settings: Terminology

Organizations may have custom needs for what they want particular database features to be called. Settings provides a place to customize the naming convention for Groups, Members, etc.

To find this area, go to General Settings  → Terminology. In here, the following options are available to change the naming convention.

  • Groups (Default → Groups | Group)
  • Members (Default → Individuals | Individual)
  • State (Default → State)
  • Zip Code (Default → Zip Code)
  • Giving Categories (Default → Giving Categories | Giving Category)
  • Campuses (Default → Campuses | Campus)

Pay special mind to the plural and singular versions of these terms as they impact a number of contextual areas in the software. Lastly, make sure to click SAVE to add your customizations.
