Note that these instructions are specifically for Brother printers connected to your check-in station machine via USB. These instructions are different for other printer types and connection types.

  • The label that comes with many Brother printers, Type DK-2251, is NOT supported. Please only use Type DK-2205.
  • To obtain the correct printer drivers, visit Brother’s support site at support.brother.com and click on Downloads. Search by model name, then download and install to your local machine.
  • Be sure to configure the printer to work with your computer.
    • For Windows, access the Control Panel, then Devices and Printers, find the active Brother printer, right click and access Printer properties.
    • In the Preferences area, choose the 2.4” by 3.9” paper size and ensure that the orientation is set to Landscape, then click OK.
    • Access the Advanced tab and select Printing Defaults… Choose the 2.4” by 3.9” paper size again and ensure that the orientation is set to Landscape, then click OK.
    • Return to the General tab and click Print Test Page.
  • Be sure to configure the Check-in Station Settings within your ChMS / Amplify People settings.
    • Access Settings, then the Check-In tab. Expand the Check-In Stations tab.
    • Select the specific named station you wish to edit.
    • Scroll down to the Label Options section.
    • Expand the drop-down for Label Printer Model and select the Brother printer series.
    • Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
  • It is recommended to then run a test check-in session to ensure the printer is working correctly.
    • If you use the web-based kiosk station, ensure that only one instance of the Printer Application is running on your machine.
