Interaction Features that Simplify Ministry

We've provided the ability to manage Interactions in several helpful ways.

For example, volunteers can view and complete Interactions via email or mobile app without any need to access your ChMS through a web browser.

Moreover, Workflows can auto-assign helpful Interactions, such as follow-up reminders if someone hasn't come recently.

Check out all the ways Interactions can simplify ministry!

Complete Interactions via Email

Interaction Notification Emails

After an interaction is assigned to a person, the individual will receive an email with the interaction details at their primary email address.

Note: This email will come from 'noreply@people.myamplify.io' with the subject line "You have been assigned an interaction." If a person has difficulty receiving an email, we suggest they whitelist the ChMS "noreply" email address with their email provider.

Just Reply to Complete the Interaction!

To complete the interaction, simply reply reply to the email (below). Everything above "REPLY ABOVE THIS line" will be captured in your ChMS (below), and the Interaction will be marked as complete on the date the email is sent.

Or, Complete a Simple Summary Form!

Alternatively, in the Interaction email, an individual can click 'fill out a summary' in the footer. This opens up a new screen (below) to input a summary and complete the Interaction without logging in to your ChMS!

Interaction Reminder (Digest) Emails

The Interactions Digest is a reminder email that lists every non-completed interaction assigned to an individual. It's sent to a person's primary email address and is particularly helpful for people who may not access your ChMS or Mobile App regularly.

Clicking an interaction links to the specific interaction in the ChMS, where it can be completed. (Alternatively, they can complete the Interaction via the email received when the Interaction was first assigned).

The digest has three sending frequency options: Daily (default), Weekly, and Never.

This setting is user-specific and can be found under the Account tab when viewing a person's profile.

Create and Assign Interactions with Workflows

Every workflow trigger can automatically create and assign interactions for you!

  1. After selecting your workflow trigger, add the Action titled Interaction.
  2. Select an Interaction Type from the provided dropdown menu.
  3. Check The group leader checkbox to assign the task to the leader of an associated group OR search for individuals within your ChMS.
  4. Complete the instructions field so that the assigned person(s) will clearly understand what they must do.
  5. Click Done and then Save to apply.

Save an Email or SMS as an Interaction Log

Sending an Email or SMS (does not include Voice) allows the option to 'Log Contact as Interaction.' Enabling this at the time of sending can add the text of the message body and who the interaction was sent to (applies to both Groups and members). Apply the appropriate interaction type for filtering later on.
