Leveraging Group Properties allows you to 'tag' your group, making filtering and managing Groups in your database tremendously easier! Properties can be mass-assigned and become even more helpful for filters, mass communication, reporting, and more when Group Property tags are combined into Group Views!
Add and Manage Group Property Tags
To manage your Group Properties, click on the Settings Gear then click on the Groups Tab. Next, click on Group Properties.
In this management area, you can now define the properties you'd like to use as 'tagging' options for your Groups. At the lower left, add a Property Category (step 1), then add Group Property (tagging) options within each category (step 2).
Note: Your ChMS has a few Group Properties set up by default. You can edit these existing ones to meet your needs and add more. There is no limit on how many you can create.
Because the database is very flexible in this area, we suggest pre-planning what 'tag' options you may need for reporting or simplifying group management. You can always add or edit as you go.
Apply Group Properties to Mulitple Groups
There are two ways you can apply properties:
- By selecting multiple Groups from the list
- On a Group-by-Group basis
Apply Group Properties to Multiple Groups at Once
To add properties to many groups, go to Groups → List. Then select all the groups which will receive the property (or properties) you'd like to add.
Then, click the Tri-Dot icon at the top right and select Apply Properties.
Select the desired Properties then click GO to apply your changes.
Apply Group Properties to a Single Group
- Under Groups, click on the Group Name to edit it.
- Click the [Edit] link under the Meeting Day/Time fields to add one or more properties (below).
- Make sure to click Save, and you're done!
