Groups are the foundation of your database.
Groups are how you'll segment the individuals in your Database. Think beyond just traditional gatherings like 'small groups.' You'll also use Groups to segment individuals strategically for things like relationship to your ministry (new visitors, members, etc.), check-in or attendance, interests, and more.
